Eukaryotic Cells Vs. Prokaryotic Cells Eukaryotic cells are usually what we think of when we think of a cell. They are generally larger and more complex than prokaryotic cells. Eukaryotic cells also make up multicellular organisms, such as plants and animal, while prokaryotic cells make up single-celled organisms like bacteria. Furthermore, eukaryotic cells contain many more organelles than bacteria, sharing only three with prokaryotic cells. Once of the most commonly known differences is also the fact that prokaryotic cells contain their DNA in the cytoplasm, while eukaryotic cells store theirs in their nucleus. Eukaryotic Cell ![]() |
